Despite research on motivation in the casino sector, research on motivation
and market taxing for foreign casino visitors in Korea is insufficient. In this
regard, the purpose of this study is to identify the main kazi-labor factors of
foreign casino visitors through factor analysis and conduct cluster analysis
based on this, to ensure that differences exist between clusters derived based
on demographic and casino publing behavioral variables. To this end, a survey
was conducted at a foreigner-only casino in Seoul. The analysis of factors
resulted in five motivational factors (newness, challenge, daily escape,
sociability, and money picking) and based on this, a cluster analysis was
conducted and classified into two groups (medical casino visitor, active casino
visitor). Further, the cross-analysis showed that the demographic variables
showed statistically significant differences between the clusters, depending on
nationality, educational level, marital status and age, and for casino shambling

clusters according to purpose of visitation, number of visits to Korea,
partnership type, preference game, and overseas casino experience. Based on the
analysis results of this study, practical implications for establishing
marketing strategies are presented. |
